My name is Scott Turkington and I grew up in Homer, Alaska which is nestled on the edge of picturesque Kachemak bay. There, I was able to witness one of the greatest migrations on the planet. Every year, thousands of Sandhill Cranes migrate to Alaska for the summer mating and breeding season. Hearing their calls each year as they made their annual return to my families 40 acre homestead signaled the beginning of summer for me. Flying thousands of miles each year to the Last Frontier to rear their young isn't the only amazing thing about these majestic birds, they also mate for life.
I eventually attended the Art Institute of Phoenix where I acquired a degree in Multimedia and Web Design. From my work with one of the largest Straight Vegetable Oil conversion companies in the world, to documenting low temperature geothermal power generation, my degree has allowed me to work on some amazing projects. It just so happens that filming weddings is probably one of the most rewarding. Being able to tell the story of one of the happiest days of a newly married couples lives is such a joy. What would be more fitting than to name my business after the bird that inspired me as a child, and like married couples, are together forever.
Being recently married myself this last Novemeber, I recently finished editing the story of me and my wife’s wedding and engagement videos, both of which can be watched HERE. Our engagement video was even featured in a TV commercial for Robbin's Brothers Jewelry based in Texas and California! In the process of editing our videos I found a desire to help other couples tell their own story.
