A Special Event video could be any event you want captured and preserved on film. Sandhill Studios has filmed events from anniversaries, parties, baby announcements, engagement videos, family vacations etc. etc.
We can either film your special event and edit it or, if you have old footage laying around that you’d like to breath new life into, give it to us and let us work our magic!
Why hire a videographer?
Everyone has moments in their lives that they wish they had on film so they could relive it again. Sometimes filming an event like this isn’t pracitcal because you don’t want to be stuck behind a camera. Sandhill Studios has been taking old footage that people have lying around and editing them into something worth sharing with others. Not only can we take your old footage you’ve got laying around and edit it, we can also film an upcoming event for you. Here are a few questions you might ask yourself when trying to decide if your even requires a professional videographer.

Most of the time cost can over ride any desires we may have on events big day.
Sandhill Studio Philosophy: There are many decisions to be made when planning your event. More than likely, the decisions will cost money and some are absolutely necessary. It’s my hope that after you take the time to review my sample videos you’ll see videography as an absolutely necessary components of your big day. If I’m lucky, you’ll choose me to tell your story, but if you should choose to pick someone else, I highly recommend the investment as it will help you cherish the memory of your big day for ever.

Sandhill Studio Philosophy: I may have a bias opinion since I love video as a medium so much, but video can tell a story in a completely different way than photography can. Recently my family discovered a treasure trove of old 8mm silent film from the epic trek both sets of grandparents made from New Mexico and Connecticut to Alaska starting in 1946. The film was inspiring and invaluable in telling the story of our families journey to The Last Frontier.
Fast forward your life a couple of decades and imagine your children and grandchildren being able to relive your special day in High Definition. I think you can appreciate how amazing it will be for you and especially your posterity to be able to relive such a special moment of their family history.
C: Can we find a Videographer who will do our special day justice?
Being a videographer myself, this was probably the most difficult question for me to answer when trying to find a videographer to film some of the more special events of me and my wife’s lives filmed.
Sandhill Studio Philosophy: Do your research it will pay off in the end. Compare pricing, compare everything they include in their packages, request samples if they have none on their website, read reviews if you can find any.
When doing similar research of my own, I found it very difficult to compare videographers for a variety of reasons. Many didn’t disclose their pricing on their website so it was hard to compare apples to apples. If they had sample videos to watch, their editing often times left much to be desired. Many used, for lack of a better term “cheesy music” and put no real thought into their editing. Most were simply plopping the video into a time-line and then using simple fade in, fade out style transitions. I honestly wanted to fall asleep while watching most of them.
I want to help other people tell the story of their special day in a thoughtful, professional, and exciting to watch manner. All Special Event packages include the following:
• Your package will include 1 hour on-location video shoot featuring business, products, services, personnel ect. All videos are shot in High Definition using professional grade video and sound equipment.
• All footage will be professionally edited down to share on the web (includes animated intro, titles, transitions music etc. etc.).
• The Final video will be uploaded to your Favorite video sharing site (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, ect.) in High Definition. This will allow you to share you video anywhere on the web.
